Timing: Day the workspace is created

Objective: Warm welcome, personal greeting from team, make sure they know we’re here to help

Body:

Hi {NAME}, you’re about to get access to Goodkind.

We are so excited you’ve made the choice to join our mission in making the world more personal and more connected.

We cannot wait to see the stories you tell.

Couple of quick housekeeping items:

  1. If you ever want to talk about what we’re doing, or ask a question, or give feedback, founders@wearegoodkind.com goes to the inbox of our founding team. We’re available many hours of the day, seven days a week and we love to talk about everything we’re doing.
  2. Goodkind is a young company, building incredibly complex technology, you may encounter an issue here or there, just know we’re working to quash these issues as fast as we can and we work to keep the platform stable.

Alright, it’s time to get started.

Click the button below and we’ll get you on-boarded onto Goodkind.

Thank you.

❤️

The Goodkind team.

2. Subject: One week on Goodkind. Have you sent a story yet?

Timing: 7 days post first email

Objective: Encourage usage, stay top of mind, show we care

Body:

{NAME},

you’re one week into life with Goodkind, and we wanted to make sure that nothing has stopped you from sending your first story.

Have you had a chance to send a story yet? Even one to your team members?

If not, you haven’t seen how easy it is.

As a quick reminder, stories ( videos ) on Goodkind can be recorded by either our mobiles apps ( iOS and Android ), or via the desktop recorder.

If you’re still getting your team setup, that’s no problem, we just wanted to ensure there were no roadblocks in the way.

If you’d like to send us a video, we always love to receive them.

In your contacts, you’ll find a user with the name Goodkind Team. If you send a video to that user, our entire team will receive it.

Not only will we watch it, we’ll likely give it a round of applause when we’re done.

👏

As always if you have any questions, we’re almost always available to help. Email us at Founders@wearegoodkind.com.

The Goodkind team.

3. Subject: Tips, tricks, guides for getting the most out of Goodkind

Timing: 14 days post first email

Objective: start the teaching process for how to be better at videos and GK

Body:

We’ve got a good one today {NAME}.

A handful of tips and tricks to get you and your team recording the kind of videos that would make Spielberg proud.

First off, three small things that will make any video better:

Brighten things up a little using natural light. Stand facing the window, or go outside, anything to lighten up your scene.

Raise that camera up. Keep your phone at eye level, pointed straight at you.

Let us hear you. The audio you record is as important as the visuals. Find that quiet corner, or spot away from people ( and traffic ) and speak up, let people hear you.

Even just reminding your storytellers ( or yourself ) of those three tips can take any video from the mundane to the majestic.

For more tips and tricks, check out our Guide to shooting better videos or our Storytelling 101 for video.

For more on you can also check out the tips section of our blog.

Enjoy the rest of your day and keep telling great stories.

4. Subject: Reminder, how to get the most out of the platform

Timing: 21days post first email

Objective: Begin to introduce beneath the surface features, building better users

Body:

Hello again {NAME},

Just a quick note from the team at Goodkind with some more quick tips for getting the most out of the platform.

  1. Be you and that means it’s ok if your delivery isn’t perfect. It’s human to um and ah, or for your words to come out less than perfect. It’s ok, it makes you relatable.
  2. Think about the long term. Sure you can send a single video, but Goodkind becomes more powerful when we plan campaigns based on the entire customer/prospect journey and time videos for when they can make the most difference.
  3. Get creative. Have an audience of lost leads, try something new with video. Bringing in a new hire, showcase them to the world. There really is no end to the stories you can send with Goodkind.
  4. Be human. When you’re recording a Goodkind video, think of how you’d talk to people at a party or a social event. It’s friendly, accessible and not just a blast of information.

That’s it. Keep those things in mind and you’ll be a pro storyteller in no time.

If you ever want to talk in more detail about these things, we’d love to chat in-depth.

6. Subject: Time to check your progress with Goodkind

Timing: 35 days post first email

Objective: introduce analytics and hopefully reinforce positive progress

Body:

{NAME}, how about we check on how well your team is doing on Goodkind?

By now you no doubt know about how to see your high level campaign data inside your Goodkind workspace and while this will always give you a pretty good sense for how campaigns are performing, we can go deeper.

Did you know you can grab an export of all the usage data on Goodkind, down to the contact level?

It’s in a spreadsheet, but as the saying goes, there is gold in them hills.

You can download this data by going to the Setting page and clicking the download all data button.

Once you’ve downloaded the spreadsheet, let’s check out three items.

Find the column marked “SOMETHING” and sort descending. This is your….

Now, let’s get a sense of how well our stories are being shared. Find the column labelled “SHARING LABEL” and sort again.

Last, it’s always good to know “X&Y”, so check out the column “SOMETHING LABEL” and this tells us that…

In coming releases, we’ll be building more and more of this data right into your workspace reporting, just know you will always have access to all the raw data to view and make decisions from.

Hope this helped. Data rules!

Give yourself a hand. 👏

When you think about how to tell that story, we want you to keep three things in mind.

Be yourself

Be honest

3. Subject: How to record a great video with Goodkind

Timing: 1 week + 24hrs post invite to Goodkind

Objective: practical tips for shooting better videos and keeping Goodkind top of mind

Body:

Hey {{first_name}}, I mean storyteller, I mean {{first_name}}, hope you’re having a tremendous day.

Another quick email from the team at Goodkind. This time with some practical tips for shooting better videos.

As we mentioned in the last email, storytelling is at the core of everything we do, and in order for a good story to come across...well, it’s gotta look and sound pretty good.

That wasn’t so hard, was it?

One other quick note.

When we tested Hollywood quality video stories, they weren’t loved. People know when something is for them when it’s authentic, and when it matters. We’re not going for Scorsese here, use those tips above, tell your story and you’ll be a hit.

If you have any questions about anything on Goodkind, you can as always reach us at: team@wearegoodkind.com

4. Subject: Did you know?

Timing: 2 weeks + 24hrs from invite

Objective: continue to encourage usage and interest

Body:

{{first_name}}, how are you doing today?

Are you feeling alright? Managing in these strange times?

Sometimes it’s nice to just take a moment and remember that we’re all people. Just trying to get by and trying to do our thing.

Not every outreach has to be with the hope of selling something.

So maybe take a moment today, and send a couple of people a message, on Goodkind, or off, and just ask how they’re doing.

I promise you they’ll appreciate it and will remember the moment.

❤️

Your friends at Goodkind

5. Subject: How can we help

Timing:  3 weeks + 24hrs from invite

Objective: making sure they know we’re here to help

Body:

Hey {{first_name}}, just a very quick email from us today.

We just wanted to ask if you need anything?

Principally as it relates to Goodkind, but we’re open to hearing any requests.

Maybe you want a pony, or to meet Obama, could be anything. We can’t promise to be able to do much besides help you with Goodkind, or telling stories with video...but it never hurts to ask.

In all seriousness, we just wanted to check in and see how you’re doing and if there is anything about Goodkind we can make easier / better / faster.

Let us know. Reply back to this email, or hit us up at team@wearegoodkind.com

6. Subject: Love your feedback

Timing: 4weeks + 24hrs from invite

Objective: feedback and possibly referrals

Body:

Hi {{first_name}}, it’s the folks from Goodkind again.

Another quick email from us, checkin in on how you’re doing.

It’s been four weeks since you were invited to Goodkind and we want to make sure you’re enjoying using this swell thing we’ve built.

Any feedback you’d like to share?

Just hit reply to this email and your thoughts will go straight to the team for review. We promise.

If you have a killer idea, we may even send you a present.

One other small request. We’re a small company and are always looking for more people to bring into the world of video storytelling. If you know anyone who you think might enjoy using Goodkind, would you mind taking two seconds to reply back to this email and we’ll send you a little something to pass on to them...you know, so you get all the credit.

😎

Once again, thank you for being a part of our journey.
